Walk along Portsea Back Beach. Then on to Sorrento, past the shops. Lunch will be at Sorrento park, then back along footpath to Portsea. |

Walkers need to have very strong walking ability and meet requirements of accommodation ( see below) Explore remote parts of the Great North walk ( steep and hard sections). Transport to / from walks by train, taxi, bus. Maybe wildflowers out along the route.
Arrival day is Monday 2nd September and departure day is Sunday morning 7th September. |

Howmans Gap Falls Creek Base Camp. This popular fully catered base camp offers five night’s accommodation including 3 meals per day in the YMCA Lodge near Falls Creek with a variety of daily walks (easy to challenging or just take the day off). There will be people from Diamond Valley, Koonung, Waverley, Essendon and Bayside Bushwalking clubs and includes a New Year's Eve celebration.
