Fri, 20-27 Sep O/N Budawangs 6-day. A 6-day walk (+ 2 days travel) in the wild & beautiful Budawang Wilderness. Long Gully, Castle Gap, Byangee, Clyde R, Holland Ck, Crooked Falls, Mt Cole, Monolith Valley, Shrouded God, the Castle. Part on-track, much off-track & in the creek, sections may be overgrown & hard work. The reward is fabulous scenery. H 40 km
Mon, 2-7 Sep BC Cowan, Berowra and beyond. Expressions of interest for this excellent but challenging base camp. Walkers need to have very strong walking ability and meet requirements of accommodation ( see below) Explore remote parts of the Great North walk ( steep and hard sections). Transport to / from walks by train, taxi, bus. Maybe wildflowers out along the route. Arrival day is Monday 2nd September and departure day is Sunday morning 7th September. H 18 km
Sat, 21 Sep DAY Baldry Crossing to Cape Schanck. Beautiful walk via Green's Bush and Bushrangers Bay. Varied terrain and vegetation. Lots of birdlife. Car shuffle. H 18 km
Sun, 7 Jul DAY Creswick Forest in late Autumn. Starting and finishing at Lake St George. Walking on part of the Goldfields track through pine plantations and La Gerche Forest. On our return we walk in the gardens of Melb Uni Agriculture Campus. E/M 14 km
Fri, 27 Dec- 1 Jan 2025 BC Howmans Gap Falls Creek Base Camp. This popular fully catered base camp offers five night’s accommodation including 3 meals per day in the YMCA Lodge near Falls Creek with a variety of daily walks (easy to challenging or just take the day off). There will be people from Diamond Valley, Koonung, Waverley, Essendon and Bayside Bushwalking clubs and includes a New Year's Eve celebration. Accommodation is in bunk rooms (bottom bunks only). Thu, 13 Jun DAY Conglomerate Gully Flora Reserve and Dromkeen. Travel by V/Line to Riddells Creek (Bendigo line, myki usable). Walk to Conglomerate Gully Flora Reserve where the Western Grassland Plains meet the hills of the Macedon Ranges. The 85 hectare reserve has impressive conglomerate rock formations. After lunch, visit National Trust classified Dromkeen (circa 1889) which has a gallery and exhibition spaces. At the end of the walk, catch the 3:35pm train which arrives at Southern Cross at 4:24pm. Sat, 1 Jun DAY St. Kilda Art Deco walk. An easy walk along St Kilda streets seeking out the lovely Art Deco houses and apartment buildings. The walk stops for morning tea in public gardens, lunch in a community garden, and to complete the day coffee in Fitzroy St. THis walk was originally devised and led by long term member Judith Hampton. It is walk # 2 in the BBC book Favourite Victorian Bush Walks. E 10 km

Thu, 23 May DAY Reservoir to Rosanna. Travel by Metro to Reservoir (Mernda line). Walk along the Darebin Creek Trail, through the grounds of La Trobe University (Bundoora campus), on the Macleod to Mont Park goods railway (1911 to 1964) alignment and on trails through Rosanna Parklands to Rosanna station (Hurstbridge line). Sun, 30 Jun DAY Mordialloc to Carrum. Meet at Mordialloc Railway station at 9.00am Start walking at 9.15am. This walk is flat with good paths. The walk is one way finishing at Carrum Railway station around lunch time. The walk is along the trail with views of schools, parks, sporting grounds and wetlands. The walk will be suitable for new members and visitors. Morning tea will be at Chelsea Park. Bring your myki card for the train. E 14 km
