Thu, 25-28 Apr O/N Bogong High Plains - Ryders, Dibbins, Blairs & Westons Huts. Day 1 - Drive to Falls Creek & walk into Ryders huts. Day 2 - Stroll along aqueduct track, brief off track climb to join AAWT, descend to Cobungra Gap & Dibbins Hut. Undulating walk to Blairs Hut on Kiewa River (West Branch) to overnight. Day 3 - Steep climb back onto High Plains. Morning tea at Westons Hut. Climb becomes less steep as height is gained. Rejoin AAWT & return to Ryders huts. Day 4 - Retrace day 1 route to cars and return home. Joint walk with Catholic Walking Club of Vic. M 36 km
Sat, 20 Apr DAY Emerald to Cockatoo via Wright Forest. Circuit walk passing Emerald Lake, through the Wright Forest to Cockatoo. We could spot the Puffing Billy. Autumn colours will be stunning. M 16 km
Sun, 21 Apr DAY Steavensons Falls and Keppels Lookout, Marysville. Walk along the river, fairly shaded by tree ferns to the spectacular falls. Short steep climb to Oxley LO and Keppel LO before we return via Robertsons Gully track to the cars. M 15 km
Sun, 21 Apr DAY Bass Coastal Walk. Meet at Anderson bus stop Melway X912 Q11 at 8.30am. Car shuffle to Punch Bowl road where the walk commences. This is a regular walk that the club puts on. Great views of Bass Coast line with a pink house included. Lunch will be at Kilcunda on the beach. Then finish walking along the awesome rail trail to Anderson when the cars have been left. M 17 km
Fri, 26 Apr DAY Xanthorrhea Track, Healesville. Circuit walk in Healesville State Forest where the lyre birds sing, the kookaburras laugh, and the valley views are lovely. Good walk for anyone wanting to practise hill climbs!. M/H 16 km
Sat, 27 Apr DAY Bungal Forest. A lovely walk through open forest passing disused mine sites, gravel pit and with views over adjacent farmland. Off track walking to the top of some knolls and across country if we take the northern access road. This will depend on state of flooding of the southern access road and ford. M/H 13 km
Sun, 28 Apr DAY Anakie Gorge/NelsonsLookout. Starting at Anakie Gorge, climb to Nelsons lookout for terrific views of the city, Mt Macedon and surrounds. Walk part of the Burchell Track, side trip to Stony Creek Reservoir. Walking back to the start through the Gorge. Chance sightings of soaring Wedgetail Eagles, Robins and Honeyeaters. M 13 km
Thu, 2 May DAY Merri-bek: Parks and History. Catch Metro to Jewell station (Upfield line). We will visit more than ten urban parks and several historic sites in the City of Merri-bek. The walk ends at Coburg station (Upfield line). Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. E 13 km
Sat, 4 May DAY Four Brothers Rocks Loop Gembrook. A fairly strenuous circuit in the Bunyip State Park, on a combination of walking trails and management tracks, starting with the Mortimer Nature walk circuit (some parts may be muddy if it's rained.) then a steady, gradual climb on management tracks up to the lunch spot at the Four Brothers Rock. A very steep descent (approximately 20 minutes) on narrow clay & gravel track, then a leafy undulating track through the forest, back to the cars. Hiking poles are mandatory for the steep descent. M/H 13 km
Sun, 5 May DAY London bridge (Mornington PNP) to Neapan Fort. Starting at London Bridge walk through Moonah Costal Woodland and several buildings of Australian defence including Nepean Fort, Quarantine, and others. M 17 km
