Commence transport of stone from Freemans Mill Campsite to where the steps are to be constructed - about 1km to the south. Parks Vic will supply the equipment to haul the stone. Stone will be slid down the hill to final locations by using tarpaulins. E 1 km

Sat, 13 Apr DAY Grandchildren's Walk at the Cranbourne Royal Botanic Gardens. Walk for club members with their grandchildren aged 3 yrs+ Free entry to the Gardens and free parking. Grandparents are to be fully responsible for the children they bring. When booking, please advise in the Comments Box the number and ages of the children with you. BYO snacks, lunch, water, plus sunhats. Coffee is available at the cafe. Start time 10am. Estimated finish time 1.30-2pm Track paths are pram friendly but bikes and scooters are not permitted in the gardens. Nor are pets allowed. S 3 km

Sat, 1 Jun DAY St. Kilda Art Deco walk. An easy walk along St Kilda streets seeking out the lovely Art Deco houses and apartment buildings. The walk stops for morning tea in public gardens, lunch in a community garden, and to complete the day coffee in Fitzroy St. THis walk was originally devised and led by long term member Judith Hampton. It is walk # 2 in the BBC book Favourite Victorian Bush Walks. E 10 km
Sat, 6 Apr DAY Keppel Lookout to Stevensons Falls return Marysville. Walk across the face of the hills above the beautiful town of Marysville. You'll pass Oxley Lookout, Del La Rue Lookout, and the Steavenson Falls Lookouts along the way – all of which provide expansive views of the greater Yarra and Cathedral ranges. We walk out and back so views from both directions. Morning walk with time to explore the town and other tracks after lunch at Keppel Lookout. M 11 km
Thu, 4 Apr DAY Ferny Creek Trail. Catch Metro to Upper Ferntree Gully. Walk to Quarry Reserve and then make our way to the Ferny Creek Trail. Follow the trail down-stream past the Wally Tew Reserve, the Waterford Valley Golf Course and Knox Park and its neighbouring facilities. The walk ends at Stud Road where we catch a 901 bus to either Dandenong or Ringwood stations. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. E 12 km
Thu, 18 Apr DAY Frankston: Parks, gardens and reserves. Catch Metro to Frankston. Walk from Frankston to Frankston South mainly through parks, gardens and reserves to explore the 98 hectare Frankston Nature Conservation Reserve. Return by 783, 772 or 782 bus to Frankston station. Please don't book unless you are sure of being on the walk. E 12 km
Sat, 13 Apr DAY Kurth Kiln - Gembrook. Kurth Kiln was built to provide charcoal to use in cars during the war, an interesting relic from this time. Nearby the delightful Tomahawk Creek and it's tracks lined with ferns, and a patch of beautiful tall gums have survived the early logging. M 12 km
