Equipment Lists

The aim of these lists is to give members a guide to the equipment required for a typical trip. It should be noted that specific equipment requirements for a particular activity will be advised by the leader - if in doubt check with the leader. The leader has the right to stop any person from participating in a club activity if they do not have the required equipment.

Synthetic fibres, particularly 'fleeces' have largely replaced the traditional woollen garments in most walkers' wardrobes, apart perhaps from socks. Synthetics are very warm, light, and dry quickly. They have only one serious drawback - lack of resistance to fire and sparks.
